Bedok's Second Life
The original Bedok Swimming Complex opened in late 1981 at Bedok North Street 2. It had four pools and drew about 2,500 visitors a day, making it one of the busiest public pools in Singapore. It was also one of the first complexes in the country to install ticketing machines, piloted in 1982.
In the late 1980s, Bedok was one of four complexes used for national training in swimming, diving and water polo. The old complex closed in July 2017 and was demolished.
The new Heartbeat@Bedok swimming complex opened on 1 August 2017. The wider integrated hub was officially opened in February 2018 by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong. It is Singapore's second integrated community hub (after Our Tampines Hub), designed by ONG&ONG Architects. Seven storeys tall and roughly the size of three football fields, it houses a library, polyclinic, community club, senior care centre and more than 30 shops and eateries alongside the pool.

50m Indoor Competition Pool
FINA-standard, 8-lane sheltered competition pool. Open for lap swimming daily. Early morning access on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 6:30 AM.
Interactive Kids Pool
Water jets, fountains and splash zones designed for young children. Includes a jacuzzi area. A favourite with families on weekends.
